💰Play 2 Earn
There are two ways that players can earn in Doge Knight, and each implies a different strategy
The first way is to sell items collected in the adventure mode and obtained when participating in Arena matches, to other players. This way will attract players who want to commit a lot of time to the game, without necessarily strategizing to become very efficient and skilled at the game. This way of earning income caters to the same type of audience who plays games like Axie Infinity.
The second way is to partake in our PvP Arena tournaments. There will be both daily and weekly tournaments. To participate in Arena tournaments, players must contribute a certain number of $DNK tokens to the tournament pool. 2% of the Ecosystem tax will also go into the different pools. At the end of the tournament, teams will be ranked and the top-ranked ones will split the pool of $DNK tokens. Teams can participate in both daily and weekly tournaments at the same time, but matches are not double-counted. Players can also form different teams for the daily and weekly tournaments. This way of earning is very similar to the model adopted by Fortnite, where the most skilled players can hope to earn large amounts of money by outperforming their peers.
With our 2 distinct models of P2E, we aim to (1) cater to many players, as each category of players will find the right way for them to earn, and (2) to make the game economy sustainable by having each group of players dependent on the other. Indeed, players collecting items in the adventure mode and regular arenas depend on the competitive players who partake in tournaments to buy these items from them. These tournament players, on the other hand, depend on the first group of players to spend the time collecting resources and gear, while they spend their time improving their PvP skills.
